Because we were the only new business owners in our circle, we took the time to read tons of female entrepreneur books by successful women. The women in these books have been right where you are, so they understand your journey.If you’re not surrounded by other female entrepreneurs, some of the challenges you face alone can be overwhelming. This is why having a mentor or go-to person is extremely important. We understand the highs and lows of starting out as a newbie and know it’s vital that you stay the course to achieve success. Therefore, we’ve compiled a list of 5 of our fave female entrepreneur books to help you get started with your business. Now, we’re passing them on to you.

One of our faves on the list of female entrepreneur books is definitely #Girlboss by Nasty Gal Founder herself, Sophia Amoruso. From the start she takes you on a journey into her past life to current. She humanizes her success by sharing candid bits of grit and glam from her life story. Besides that, every page is full of fun, and entertainment that leaves you excited to read more.  After reading this several times, I decided it would be a great read gift for some of my non-entrepreneur friends. A definite must read, and also makes a cute coffee table or desk accessory.

2.  Girl Code – Cara Alwill Leyba

If you’re all about the inspiration Cara wrote this book just for you. You learn how to feel confident as a female entrepreneur and take on any and all business venture. As an advocate for feminism, supporting other women in business is key! This book speaks to your inner feminist as it’s all about women empowerment. If you’re looking for a female entrepreneur book with a bit of girl power, this is the book for you. Each page is glittered with words of encouragement that sparks your motivation. Read it feel it and spread the love.

3. You are a BadAss at Making Money

– Jen Sincero

Jen Sincero is queen of female entrepreneur books.  Being a bad-ass is in her DNA, and I love it. She gives her story and full transformation from living without money to living her dream lifestyle. The focus in this book is on teaching you how to change your views and mindset on money to find out what’s stopping you from making it. Love the sassy way she delivers the message and makes it easier to relate to. Perfect for getting your money mentality right.

4.  She Creates the Way – Jessica Derby

This book was the perfect message for me. As I was transitioning out of the 9 to 5 to pursue life as an entrepreneur, I needed a little guidance. Jessica’s style was a great balance of sass and honest self care mixed with the tools needed to grow and flourish as a female entrepreneur in today’s world. A definite must to add to your collection of female entrepreneur books.

5. She Means Business – Carrie Green

Of all 5 of the female entrepreneur books I’ve mentioned, this is a fave. As a business owner, my goal is to speak to other creative women and teach them to get messy and monetize their message. In her book, Carrie emphasizes the importance of supporting other women in that way. The tips and work exercises included within the book really that help to stay motivated to take necessary steps to succeed. This book is for you no matter what level you’re in on your entrepreneurial journey. If you’re ready to tackle the week and kick some ass, this book will fuel your inner boss bitch!
